Furnishing fabrics on show at Sydney Indesign: A new range from funkis

Australians love Scandinavian design but it's refreshing to see our favourite Scandi store in Sydney producing their own designs, and thereby bringing an Australian sensibility to the style. The funkis collection is by textile designer Josefine Brodd in collaboration with Sydney retailer funkis. The fabric is screenprinted in Australia by Publisher Textiles on wide rolls of Australian natural cottons, linens and hemp fabric – perfect for revamping old but good upholstery. You can see the new funkis fabric collection at the mammoth design event of Sydney Indesign Live this week from August 15-18. The collection will be one of many design products on display at the event, which is held at Galleria, an exhibition space of over 3000 sqm at the Australian Technology Park at 2 Locomotive St, in Eveleigh.
